falling behind on my college works after being hospitalised

Struggling to keep up with my college work after being hospitalized. I just got discharged because I asked my doctor to allow me to attend my remaining classes. It’s finals season, and I missed two weeks of school due to a pneumonia diagnosis. Even though I’m still in recovery, I’m determined to attend these last two weeks of classes and catch up on everything. However, I’m feeling exhausted—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I really don’t want to repeat any of my subjects. I’m doing my best, but it’s overwhelming with so much to catch up on after being away.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear what you’ve been going through. It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed after such a tough experience. First and foremost, prioritize your health—both physical and mental. If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to your professors or academic advisors to explain your situation. Many schools have policies in place to help students who face medical challenges, and they might be able to provide you with extensions or additional support.

It can also help to break down your workload into smaller, manageable tasks. Focus on what’s most urgent and tackle one thing at a time. Don’t hesitate to lean on classmates or friends for support; they might be able to share their notes or help you with difficult concepts. Remember that it’s okay to ask for help, and you’re not alone in this. Take care of yourself, and do your best to find a balance between catching up and allowing yourself time to heal. You’ve got this, and your health comes first!
