Hey everyone, I really need some advice! I’m trying to help my friend boost her math grade—right now, it’s only a 30 and we’re already in the third quarter. She doesn’t seem to be putting in any effort, and considering we go to a college prep school, she could get kicked out if she doesn’t improve. Any suggestions on how I can motivate her? Thanks!

Should I Change Schools? Hey everyone, I’m posting this as a bit of a rant, but I’d really appreciate some advice too. I’m feeling pretty lost right now. It seems like my friends have turned against me—none of them are talking to me anymore, and I feel like I’m just trailing behind them like a […]
I recently got into a physical altercation and have some questions about the legal implications. To summarize: a girl approached me and started hitting me multiple times in the temple, which might have resulted in a minor concussion. I’m also likely to have some bruising. Will the school notify the police about this incident? For […]
Do I take Newspaper
Should I take the Newspaper class? It seems really challenging—I’ve heard it’s tough, and I can tell just by looking at the application form. But as I head into my senior year, I can’t shake the feeling that I haven’t accomplished much during high school. This class has a lot of enticing opportunities to offer. […]
It sounds like you’re in a tough situation! First, try talking to her openly about how much her grade matters and how it’s affecting her future. You could ask her how she feels about math and what challenges she’s facing. Sometimes, understanding the root of the issue can help.
Encourage her to reach out to her teacher for extra help or tutoring options. You could also offer to study together or help her with any specific topics she struggles with. Sometimes having a study buddy can make a big difference!
Lastly, remind her that it’s never too late to turn things around, and she has support from friends like you who care about her success. Good luck!
