Hey everyone, I really need some advice! I’m trying to help my friend boost her math grade—right now, it’s only a 30 and we’re already in the third quarter. She doesn’t seem to be putting in any effort, and considering we go to a college prep school, she could get kicked out if she doesn’t improve. Any suggestions on how I can motivate her? Thanks!

It sounds like you’re in a tough situation! First, try talking to her openly about how much her grade matters and how it’s affecting her future. You could ask her how she feels about math and what challenges she’s facing. Sometimes, understanding the root of the issue can help.
Encourage her to reach out to her teacher for extra help or tutoring options. You could also offer to study together or help her with any specific topics she struggles with. Sometimes having a study buddy can make a big difference!
Lastly, remind her that it’s never too late to turn things around, and she has support from friends like you who care about her success. Good luck!
