Has anyone here lost a parent in college?

Has anyone here experienced losing a parent while in college? I’m going through a really tough time and feeling quite unfortunate. It seems like most people don’t lose their parents until they are in their 50s or 60s, and this situation just feels so unfair. I look at my friends, and none of them really understand what I’m going through. 🙁

  1. I’m really sorry to hear about your loss. It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed and unfairly singled out in this situation. Losing a parent is a profound experience at any age, and it can be especially difficult while you’re navigating college life and building your future. Remember that it’s okay to grieve and feel a mix of emotions. You’re not alone in this, even if it seems like your friends can’t relate. Sometimes, talking to someone who has experienced a similar loss, whether it’s a friend or support group, can help. Taking care of yourself during this time is really important, and reaching out for support when you need it is okay. Your feelings are valid, and it’s a tough journey you’re on.

Scholarship

Scholarship Inquiry I’m curious about the relationship between military benefits and scholarships, and I’m not sure if it varies by school. I’m using military benefits to fully cover my tuition, but since I’ve also been awarded a scholarship, I’m wondering what happens to that scholarship money. Does it get converted into leftover funds, or does […]
