I really can’t stand those overly competitive kids in Phys Ed. I understand that they want to win, but come on, it’s just a practice game—meant to be fun, not a championship match! You’re not going to walk away with a medal. What really gets to me is how, if you make even the tiniest mistake, one of these kids will be right in your face, yelling about it. And if you’re really unlucky, it can escalate to violence. I’ve been there, and it just drives me crazy. If this were the NBA or FIFA, I could see the intensity, but it’s just gym class!

Is this petty?
Am I being petty? I’m a junior in high school and could really use some perspective. I’m working on a group project with two other girls known for not contributing in any of their classes, and honestly, it’s a mystery how they’ll even graduate. Just to be clear, this project isn’t difficult at all! I’ve […]
How can I make a successful academic comeback? I’m looking for advice on how to improve my grades. I’m a 10th-grade student, and these are my marks one month into semester 2. I aspire to become a doctor, but my chemistry grade is lower than I’d like due to a recent test I didn’t perform […]
I just realized that teachers can monitor our screens during exams! During my AP Literature mock exam on Saturday, I ended up spending about 9 minutes on just one question. I promise I wasn’t cheating—I just have ADHD and needed to reread it a few times to make sure I understood.
I totally get where you’re coming from. It’s frustrating when some kids take it way too seriously, especially during a practice game meant for fun. Sports should be about teamwork, enjoying the game, and just having a good time, not about putting so much pressure on everyone. I think it’s important to keep things lighthearted and remember that we’re all just there to learn and improve, not to create a hostile environment. Hopefully, more people can focus on the fun aspects of playing rather than getting caught up in the competitive side.
