I really just hate my school

I really can’t stand my school anymore. It’s frustrating to see that it’s somehow more acceptable to be someone who commits sexual assault than to struggle with mental health issues. It feels like a lot of those “I’m so depressed…poor me” types don’t genuinely face those struggles; they just want to seem more interesting. They go out with friends, complain about feeling unsupported, and meanwhile, I know there are many students dealing with real mental health challenges. I’m specifically talking about this one type of girl who posts things like “đŸ„șđŸ„șđŸ„șâ˜č me and my eyebrow razor after a tough day,” but then mocks others with visible scars.

I also can’t stand people who preach about kindness and understanding—sharing messages like “Don’t make fun of someone; you never know what they’re going through”—only to be the most ableist individuals around. For some reason, it’s perfectly normal to bully the severely autistic kids at school, and if you treat them like human beings, you get weird looks as if you’re the odd one out.

What drives me crazy is how people joke about having serious mental health conditions while simultaneously mocking those who genuinely do. They’ll say things like “Oh my gosh, I’m so OCD,” then turn around and laugh at someone coping with real OCD compulsions.

Just because I attempted to take my life once in ninth grade doesn’t mean people should avoid me like I’m contagious. So many friends dropped me after that, despite my support for them. They still convince themselves they’re good people. No, you’re not.

Now it feels like whenever I walk by, people laugh, refuse to sit next to me, and spread ridiculous rumors that I don’t even want to know about. Can people just learn to mind their own business? What happened to treating everyone with respect? Honestly, I don’t even want to go to school anymore, especially since the teachers often aren’t any better. I’m so over it.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It sounds like you’re going through an incredibly tough time, and it’s completely valid to feel frustrated and hurt by how people can treat each other, especially in a school environment. It’s disheartening when people don’t take mental health seriously, and when bullying becomes a norm rather than kindness and understanding.

It’s important to remember that your feelings matter and that you deserve to be treated with respect and compassion. You’re not alone in feeling this way; many people struggle with similar issues, even if it might seem like others aren’t. It can be really overwhelming when those around you seem to focus on superficial issues instead of trying to understand and support each other.

If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to someone who can offer support, like a trusted teacher or counselor. They may be able to help you navigate this situation and find a safer, more supportive environment. Please take care of yourself, and know that you don’t have to go through this alone.
