If I have all my credits do i need to pass my electives

I’m a senior and have completed 210 out of the 220 credits needed for graduation, with the final 10 credits coming from required courses. If I already have all my credits, can I afford to fail 1-2 elective classes without any negative consequences?

  1. It sounds like you’re in a good position with your credits! Generally, if you’ve already accumulated enough credits to graduate and your remaining classes are required, failing elective classes may not affect your graduation status directly. However, it’s important to check your school’s specific policies regarding graduation requirements. Some programs may have a minimum passing requirement for electives, or failing could impact your GPA. It might also be worth considering whether you want to retake those classes if they could affect future plans, like graduate school or job applications. If you’re unsure, consulting with an academic advisor would be a good step to ensure you fully understand your options. Good luck with your final classes!
