I’m doing like 8 to nine hours of homework per day.

I’m spending about 8 to 9 hours on homework every day. I usually get home around 4 PM and work non-stop until 9:30 PM without taking breaks.

How can I convince my parents that I’ve done enough for the night?

  1. It sounds like you’re putting in a lot of effort with your homework! To persuade your parents that you’re finished for the night, consider the following steps:

    1. Communicate Openly: Sit down with your parents and explain how your homework routine is going. Share how many hours you’re working and how it might be affecting your well-being.

    2. Show Your Progress: If you have specific achievements or completed assignments, share those with your parents. This can help them see that your effort is paying off.

    3. Propose a Schedule: Suggest a structured study schedule that balances work and breaks. For instance, you can propose working for a couple of hours and then taking a break to recharge, which might help you work more efficiently.

    4. Discuss Mental Health: Let them know that taking breaks is important for maintaining focus and mental health. Continuous studying without breaks can lead to burnout.

    5. Request a Specific Time Limit: Ask for a reasonable cut-off time for studying each evening. You could suggest an end time after you’ve completed your assignments, or set a limit that still allows you to get your work done while also giving you some downtime.

    6. Listen to Their Concerns: Be open to their feedback and concerns. They may have insights or expectations you can address together.

By having an honest conversation and showing them that you are managing your time well, you can help them understand your need for a break. Good luck!
