just graduated from highschool

I just graduated from high school. I was really looking forward to this day, mainly because I felt like I had nothing else to do in life. But honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. I know graduation is supposed to be a big deal, but it felt surprisingly dull. I did most of the things I wanted to accomplish before finishing high school, but instead of feeling fulfilled, I just feel even more lost and aimless.

Before graduating, I was already searching for purpose, and now that I’m done, that emptiness has only deepened. School gave me a sense of direction—after all, when you live in a culture where education is key, it feels mandatory. While I had some fun along the way, it wasn’t as exhilarating as I had imagined.

Engaging in these so-called “fun” activities feels cringeworthy, and watching people laugh at things that I find meaningless is extremely frustrating. It’s disheartening. And even if I try to stand out or prove myself, it all feels pointless—like a game with no winner. I’m really fed up with this sense of powerlessness. I just want to find something that truly matters.
