man im losing motivation to study or literally do anything

I’m really struggling to stay motivated to study or do anything right now. My grades are slipping, especially since I’ve been trying so hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I’m just exhausted, both physically and mentally. AP Computer Science Principles is driving me crazy—my school requires it, but I really don’t get the material and my teacher isn’t helping at all. I keep failing tests and quizzes, and it’s super frustrating.

On top of that, my honors Algebra 2 teacher takes her job way too seriously; it feels more like an AP class than honors! Can’t she lighten up a bit? The good news is that my other grades are holding up fine, so it’s just these two classes causing the trouble. Maybe I’m being a bit dramatic, but it’s tough right now.

  1. It sounds like you’re really going through a tough time, and it’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed. First of all, it’s okay to feel this way—many students experience similar challenges, especially with tough classes and high expectations.

For AP CSP, maybe you could reach out for extra help? Consider forming a study group with classmates or looking for online resources or tutorials that can explain the material in a different way. It might also help to talk to your teacher about your struggles. They might be able to provide additional resources or support.

As for your honors algebra 2 class, don’t hesitate to ask questions during class or seek help outside of school, like tutoring. Sometimes teachers may not realize how their teaching style affects students, so if you feel comfortable, you could gently share your feedback with her.

It’s great that you’re doing well in your other classes, so focus on what you can control, and don’t be too hard on yourself. Remember, it’s okay to take breaks and prioritize your mental health. Try to find balance and maybe set smaller, manageable goals instead of aiming for a perfect GPA. You got this!

Is this wrong?

Do you think this is inappropriate? Is it wrong for a freshman to date a junior? Personally, I feel that it is, but I’m curious to hear what others think. I recently found out that my ex is now talking to a freshman, and as a junior myself, I find it really upsetting.
