Cross-Country Move for College
Hi everyone! I’m making the move from the West Coast to the East Coast for college and could use some advice. For those of you who have made a similar transition, what’s the best way to transport your belongings? Should I ship them, pack them into suitcases, or is there a more efficient option? Shipping Services: If you have a lot of items or larger things like furniture, using a shipping service like U-Haul or PODS can be a good option. They drop off a container for you to fill, then pick it up and transport it to your new place.
Rent a Truck: If you have friends or family who can help, renting a moving truck is often the most cost-effective way to transport a larger amount of belongings, especially if you’re taking a lot of stuff.
Suitcases/Car: If you don’t have too much to bring, packing your essentials into suitcases or your car can work well. It allows you to travel directly without worrying about shipping delays.
Storage Units: If you can’t bring everything at once, consider a short-term storage unit. You can store some belongings and bring them over as needed.
