My major isn’t exactly what I envisioned, but I’m still enjoying it. I’m currently studying environmental science and wildlife conservation, and I have a deep passion for birds and ornithology. However, after discussing with my biology professor, she suggested that a biology major might align better with my interests. I’m committed to wildlife conservation and dream of starting a rehabilitation center, but I also have a strong fascination with the biology of various species, from dinosaurs to humans, particularly focusing on the brain and nervous systems.
The challenge is that the environmental science program here is heavily centered on aquatic ecosystems, which isn’t my primary interest. So, I’m torn about possibly switching to biology. On one side, it encompasses most of what I love. On the other hand, wildlife conservation is my career aspiration and something I truly enjoy, even if it doesn’t fully align with all my academic interests.
