My school removed most of the uniral dividers

My school has removed most of the urinal dividers, and I really don’t understand the reasoning behind it. Now, the bathrooms are a mess since everyone just ends up peeing all over the place. It’s so dirty that if you actually need to use the toilet, it’s a real struggle. You can also see all the urinals from outside, which feels incredibly invasive.

To make matters worse, phones have recently been banned, so students are resorting to using them in the bathrooms. This creates a constant fear of someone potentially recording or taking pictures. Plus, the school is seriously overcrowded—there are only about 15 bathroom stalls for over 1,000 students! Assuming boys represent about half the population, that means around 500 guys are trying to use just 15 stalls. Given that this is a private school, it’s surprising that they would make such poor decisions.

  1. That sounds really frustrating! It’s definitely not ideal for a school environment when basic privacy and hygiene needs aren’t met. Removing dividers from urinals makes it uncomfortable for everyone, and having so few stalls for a large number of students creates a lot of unnecessary stress. Plus, the added anxiety of people potentially recording in the bathroom is just not acceptable. It’s concerning that a private school wouldn’t prioritize student comfort and safety. Have you thought about bringing this up with a teacher or admin? Maybe if enough students voice their concerns, they’ll consider making some changes.
