I’m in desperate need of some advice, and I truly appreciate any help you can offer. I really can’t go to school tomorrow; I need a few days off. I’m feeling incredibly unstable, and despite my attempts to express how overwhelming school is for me, no one seems to understand. I’m in a dark place, and just the thought of going back makes me feel physically ill.

I barely get any sleep—maybe four hours a night—and no matter how tired I am, I can’t fall asleep until after midnight. I wake up at 5:30 to get ready, but I struggle to get out of bed until 7. I’m facing a $500 fine if I miss one more day without an excuse, but I genuinely need to take a break.

I’ve been crying at school almost every day this past week, and today, a teacher upset me by second period. The environment there is so negative and unwelcoming—it’s the last thing I need when I’m already feeling this way. I’m really worried about how this is affecting my mental health, and I fear for what will happen if I keep pushing myself when I know I can’t handle it anymore.
