Need help for school project!

Looking for assistance with my school project!
I’m a sophomore in high school and I’m currently working on a project called the “Do Something Project.” I have a month to identify a global issue and propose a solution. While I’m not particularly passionate about any one topic, I do enjoy dancing, fitness, cooking, and video games. I can choose from a wide range of issues, including poverty, recycling, violence, and more. I would really appreciate any creative ideas or suggestions you might have to help me out! Thank you!

  1. Hey! It sounds like an exciting project, and it’s great that you’re looking for ways to make a positive impact. Here are a few ideas that incorporate your interests:

    1. Fitness & Health Awareness: You could create a campaign promoting physical fitness and healthy eating among teens. You could host dance fitness classes or cooking demonstrations focusing on healthy recipes. This could help combat issues like obesity and mental health in your community.

    2. Dance as a Tool for Healing: Consider using dance as a therapeutic tool for emotional or mental health. Organize a workshop or a series of classes that encourage expression and healing through movement. You can collaborate with local mental health organizations to reach those who could benefit from this.

    3. Video Game for Good: Since you enjoy video games, think about creating or modifying a simple game that raises awareness about a specific issue like climate change or social justice. You could use platforms like Scratch to make a basic game and then share it online.

    4. Cooking for a Cause: Organize a community cooking event where you teach others how to make healthy meals on a budget. You could partner with a local food bank and donate meals or ingredients. This project could address both food insecurity and cooking skills.

    5. Recycling Competition: Combine your interests in health and sustainability by organizing a fun recycling competition at your school. You could incorporate dance or fitness challenges related to recycling efforts—like a “green workout” where participants earn points for bringing recyclable materials.

    6. Awareness Through Art & Dance: Create a dance performance that tells a story about a social issue you’re passionate about. You can incorporate visuals or spoken word elements that highlight the problem and potential solutions.

Choose an idea that resonates with you, and don’t be afraid to put your own twist on it! Good luck with your project!
