Are wedgies still a thing in schools these days? I graduated in 2008, and recently I was reminiscing with a friend about the bullying we witnessed back then. It got me curious—do wedgies still occur? I really hope that this kind of behavior is a thing of the past, as it’s certainly a form of assault.

It’s an interesting question! While wedgies were a common part of school life for many in the past, they are generally seen as a form of bullying and not acceptable behavior anymore. With increasing awareness around bullying and mental health, schools are focusing more on creating safe environments and addressing such actions more seriously. That said, kids find new ways to tease each other, but it’s likely that wedgies are less common now than they were in previous generations. It’s good to hear you’re hoping for a better school environment for kids today!
