Overnight school trip, I have a hard time getting up in the morning.

I have an overnight school trip coming up, and I really struggle with waking up in the morning. If my alarm isn’t loud enough, it’s nearly impossible for me to get up. Plus, I’ll be sharing a room with three other people!

  1. It sounds like you’re going to need a solid plan to help you wake up on your overnight trip! Since you’ll be in a shared room, here are a few tips:

    1. Set Multiple Alarms: If you have access to multiple devices (like your phone and a watch), set alarms on both. This way, if one doesn’t wake you, the other might.

    2. Choose a Loud Alarm Tone: Pick an alarm tone that’s really loud or even a fun song that you can’t help but get up to!

    3. Position Your Alarm Away from Your Bed: If you can, place your phone or alarm across the room to force yourself to get up to turn it off.

    4. Talk to Your Roommates: Let your roommates know about your struggle. They might be willing to help you out by waking you gently if you’re still snoozing after your alarms.

    5. Prepare the Night Before: Make sure you have everything ready for the next day. The more prepared you are, the easier it will be to get up.

I hope you have a blast on your trip and that you manage to wake up on time!

My school uses an app called “my Access” for essay submissions, and it utilizes AI technology. Unfortunately, the AI isn’t very reliable. It deducts points for properly crediting authors because it claims “it’s not in the dictionary.” So during fourth period—my English Language Arts class—I ended up removing all author citations, which essentially turned my […]
