Random question (reposting because I forgot to add a flair): I’m curious about the educational systems in American schools and other countries. Do they offer subjects like Life Orientation (grades 4-12) and EMS (Economic and Management Sciences) along with Tech (grades 7-9) as mandatory courses before students select their subjects for the higher grades (grades 10-12)?

  1. It sounds like you’re curious about the curriculum structure in various school systems! In American schools, the subjects you mentioned, like Life Orientation, aren’t standardized across the country. Instead, schools often focus on core subjects like English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Some schools might offer classes related to life skills or career exploration, but they’ll vary widely.

In other countries, like South Africa, Life Orientation is indeed a required subject from grade 4 to 12, helping students develop personal and social skills. Similarly, EMS (Economic and Management Sciences) and Technology are important subjects for students in grades 7-9 to prepare them for more specialized subjects in high school.

Overall, it really depends on the educational system of each country or region. It’s interesting to see how different places prepare students for their futures! What sparked your interest in this topic?
