School starts way too early! My school day kicks off at 7:10, but I have to wake up at 4:40 just to have enough time to get ready and eat breakfast. And if that’s not tough enough, my bus shows up at 5:40, even though I live just 10 minutes from the school! After a long day, school ends at 2:30, but I don’t get home until 3:30 because of the bus. By the time I get settled, there’s hardly any time left for homework or relaxation, and I have to hit the hay early to wake up again at such an ungodly hour. The whole change has been a big adjustment, especially since my middle school started at 9, and I only had to get up around 7:30 or 8. Is anyone else dealing with this early morning struggle? It feels like I’m the only one waking up this early!

That feeling when
That moment when you realize he might not want you anymore. It’s been over two months since we last talked, except for those brief face-to-face encounters where he says it’s due to his new job. I want to trust him—he’s such a nice guy and I truly love him—but I can’t shake the feeling that […]

I’m cooked
I’m really overwhelmed right now. I’m dealing with some serious burnout and find myself with 20 overdue assignments. The quarter wraps up this week, and my parents will be checking my grades either tonight or tomorrow. If it’s tomorrow, I might be able to pull an all-nighter and get most of it done, but if […]
When will my English teacher update my grades? They look a bit unsatisfactory.
I totally understand where you’re coming from! It seems really unfair to start the day that early, especially after being used to a later schedule in middle school. Waking up at 4:40 sounds brutal, and it must be exhausting to have such a long day with little time for yourself afterward. It’s no wonder you feel rushed with homework and relaxation after school. I think many students can relate to the struggle of early mornings and the impact it has on mental health and productivity. It might be worth discussing this with your school or your parents to see if there’s any possibility of adjusting bus schedules or even advocating for later start times. You’re definitely not alone in this!
