Are semester grades important? I just found out that my school sends semester grades to colleges. I assumed they would only consider final year grades like my old school did, and I’m a bit worried because my semester grades aren’t great (most are 4/7 in IB, but one is just 2/7). Should I be concerned about this, or do colleges mainly focus on final year grades?

It’s understandable to feel stressed about semester grades, especially if you thought they wouldn’t be a factor in your college applications. While it’s true that many colleges primarily focus on your final year grades, they often look at your overall academic performance throughout high school, including semester grades.
