Having trouble getting Labster to work
I’ve followed the guidelines and switched to my other account for this.
I need to use Labster for my biology and oceanography classes this term, but my computer runs on Edge, which Labster doesn’t support—only Firefox and Chrome are compatible.
I initially downloaded Firefox, but every time I clicked a link, Edge opened instead. I then tried Chrome, but I faced the same issue. I need to figure out how to ensure that Chrome or Firefox opens whenever I click on any link. Although I’ve set Chrome as my default browser, it doesn’t seem to have made a difference, and I’m unsure how to uninstall Edge altogether.

Set the Default Browser: Even if you’ve already set Chrome as your default, let’s double-check. Go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Look for your web browser and make sure Chrome (or Firefox) is selected as the default.
Open Links Directly in Chrome or Firefox: If you’re trying to open a link and it’s still opening in Edge, try copying the link (right-click and select “Copy Link Address”), then manually paste it into the address bar of Chrome or Firefox.
Check File Associations: Sometimes, specific file types (like HTML files) may still be associated with Edge. In the same Default Apps settings, scroll down and click on Choose default applications by file type. Make sure that any relevant types (like .html) are set to open with Chrome or Firefox.
Disable Edge: While you can’t uninstall Edge completely (it’s part of the system), you can disable it. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find Microsoft Edge, and choose to disable it.
Use a Link Redirect: There are browser extensions and settings that can help redirect links. For instance, in Chrome, you can find extensions that open all links in your default browser (which you’ve set as Chrome).
