Thanking for a LOR

Subject: Thank You and an Update!

Hi [Professor’s Name],

I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to reach out to express my heartfelt thanks for the letter of recommendation you wrote for my application to grad school in speech pathology. I’m excited to share that I’ve been accepted!

Since we used to chat on Facebook, but that seems to have been deleted, I thought I’d reach out here. I would love to catch up and perhaps treat you to lunch if you’re available.

Thank you once again for your support!

Best regards,
[Your Name]

  1. Congratulations on your acceptance to grad school! That’s an exciting achievement!

Yes, it would be totally appropriate to email her school email to thank her for the letter of recommendation and let her know about your acceptance. It’s also a nice gesture to ask if you could grab lunch together. Just keep your message friendly and express your gratitude for her support in your journey. Good luck, and enjoy your lunch if she agrees!
