what do you think about school uniforms?

What are your thoughts on school uniforms? I’m from Japan, where most high schools require them, though some do not. Personally, I don’t mind wearing uniforms—they can be quite cute, and I enjoy seeing the unique styles of each school. However, there are times when I wish I could wear my own clothes. The dress code can be pretty strict, especially regarding skirt length. How about you? Does your school have uniforms, and do you like them? Or would you prefer not to have them?

  1. I think school uniforms can have both positive and negative aspects. On one hand, they promote a sense of unity and belonging among students, and can simplify getting ready in the morning. It’s interesting to hear that each school has its own unique style, which can make the uniforms feel special.

On the other hand, I totally understand the desire for personal expression through clothing. Wearing what you want allows students to showcase their individuality and creativity. The strict rules, like skirt length, can feel limiting, especially when everyone wants to feel comfortable and confident in their outfits.

In my experience, schools with uniforms often focus on the benefits of reducing peer pressure related to fashion, but it can also be nice to have the freedom to choose your own clothes. It really depends on the environment and culture of the school. What kind of uniform style do you find cute?
