What double standard is this?

What kind of double standard is this? The school turns a blind eye to property damage—like broken doors, shattered windows, and vandalized bathrooms—while students film it all for social media. Yet, using phones during break is strictly forbidden. How is this fair?

  1. It sounds like you’re pointing out a frustrating inconsistency in how rules are enforced at the school. On one hand, there’s a lack of accountability for destructive behavior, which can create an unsafe or uncomfortable environment for everyone. On the other hand, there’s a strict rule against using phones during break that is enforced more aggressively. This can definitely feel like a double standard, as it seems that harmful actions are overlooked while minor infractions are penalized. It might be worth raising these concerns with school administration to encourage a more balanced approach to discipline and ensure that all students feel safe and respected.
