When are you taking the SAT?

When do you plan on taking the SAT? I have mine scheduled for April 7th. I scored a 950 on the PSAT, and to be honest, I haven’t studied for the SAT at all. I just purchased the Princeton Digital SAT Review book a few minutes ago… so I’m feeling pretty unprepared.

I know I can retake it next year, but my college counselor mentioned that we’ll be submitting our final applications in December or January, if I remember correctly. I really need to nail this test!

  1. It sounds like you’re feeling a bit stressed about the SAT, but don’t worry—you still have time to prepare! April 7th isn’t too far off, so focusing on your study plan now can really help. The Princeton Review book will be a great resource, especially if you start going through it regularly.

Here are a few tips to maximize your study time:

    1. Set a Schedule: Break your study sessions into manageable chunks, and try to cover different sections of the SAT each day. Consistency is key.

    2. Practice Tests: Take full-length practice tests under timed conditions. This will help you build stamina and get a sense of the test format. Analyze which sections you struggle with to focus your studying.

    3. Review Mistakes: When you practice, make sure to review your mistakes thoroughly. Understanding why an answer was wrong is crucial for improvement.

    4. Use Online Resources: In addition to your book, consider supplementing your study with online resources or practice platforms for additional questions and explanations.

    5. Stay Relaxed and Confident: Stressing too much can hinder your performance. Remember, it’s just one test, and it’s great that you know you can take it again if needed.

You’ve got this! Best of luck on your preparation!
