Balancing Act: Managing College Essays and Summer Assignments During a Busy Senior Year

As students approach the culmination of their high school journey, it’s common to feel overwhelmed by the mounting academic responsibilities. Many, myself included, sometimes forget about important tasks like college essays and summer assignments until the last minute.

Currently, with just over a month remaining before the start of a new school year, I find myself juggling two jobs alongside numerous personal commitments. To make matters more stressful, I still need to complete at least three essays and a couple of summer assignments essential for my senior year. The workload feels daunting, and the desire to simply rest and escape the stress is strong—sometimes, all I want is sleep.

Whether you’re in a similar situation or preparing for a busy season ahead, it’s important to stay organized and prioritize effectively. Break down larger tasks into manageable steps, set realistic goals, and remember to carve out moments for self-care amidst the hustle. While the pressure may be high, staying focused can help ease the workload and make the final stretch more manageable.
