Considering a Gap Year Before Attending University of Chicago for Computer Science: Is It Worth It?
Choosing the right path after high school can be a pivotal decision, especially when you have multiple prestigious options on the table. Recently, I faced such a crossroads when I was accepted to the University of Chicago’s Computer Science program under a gap year plan, meaning I would join the class of 2030.
Prior to this, I had committed to a highly competitive program at the University of Waterloo in Canada—specifically, their Software Engineering bachelor’s degree.
