Understanding the Impact of Single-Gender Spaces on Gender Diversity Inclusion: A Survey Initiative
In the realm of society and culture studies, particularly among high school seniors, exploring how gender-specific environments influence inclusivity is a vital topic. As part of my final major project, I am investigating the growing segregation of homosocial spaces—such as sports teams, youth groups, religious organizations, and similar communities—and assessing their effects on the participation and acceptance of gender-diverse individuals.
To gather meaningful insights, I am conducting a confidential online survey that is open to participants from all backgrounds. The survey does not require personal identifiers like names or email addresses; it only asks about your gender, country, and age group. My aim is to understand different perspectives, especially from those involved in single-gender activities, including youth clubs, sports leagues, religious groups, and scouting organizations, as many teenagers actively participate in these settings.
Your responses will be invaluable, particularly those from gender-diverse and transgender individuals, as current data is limited. If you are part of any single-gender environment, your experiences and opinions could greatly contribute to this study.
Additionally, I am happy to exchange insights—whether that means completing surveys for others or providing advice on selecting research topics for high school projects. I am passionate about this subject and nearing the completion of my course, so I can offer guidance and support to fellow students interested in exploring similar themes.
If you’re interested in participating or seeking advice, please feel free to reach out. Your input can help shed light on this important issue and foster greater understanding of gender diversity within various social spaces.
Thank you for your consideration and support!
